My heart is melting.

Thanks, talking trash-can.

I have never seen Push. I go to the parks every single year and have never run into him. I need to try harder next time.

Favorite thing in all of Magic Kingdom. Everyone hates me because I have to go on it every. single. time. I’m pretty sure my family only goes in the off-season to avoid another go-round on the Carousel of Progress.

The Story of a Walt Disney Imagineer

This beautifully encapsulates everything I love about this Company and why I never want to hand over my ID card as long as I live.

Make your own galactic passport before riding the updated Star Tours which reopens May 20th.

brb, making one right now.

ETA: YOU CAN GET THEM STAMPED AT STAR TOURS. Between that and the sexy new costumes they’re getting, I’m wondering if I shouldn’t transfer there… Also, I just made myself Queen May. Oh yes, I did.

This picture hangs outside the break room in the grill and is my biggest distraction every day. Apparently it doesn’t matter that it’s been hanging for two months, I’ll still stop to look at it.

I was wondering when the 40 Years stuff would start. I can dig it.

George Lucas with the new C-3PO animatronic who will pilot the new Star Tours ride.

I don’t know if George Lucas has ever seen a Star Wars movie, but C-3PO has definitely not piloted anything ever.

RIP REX!

Having expressed those hostile feelings, I will still run in to ride it at my earliest opportunity.

Sound Works Collection: Walt Disney Imagineers

The vision and showmanship of Walt Disney has touched more corners of the world and hearts through his many films and theme parks. Since opening his first park “Disneyland” on July 18, 1955, Walt and his team of dream makers known as “Imagineers” have created many theme parks around the world.

The SoundWorks Collection pulls back the curtain on the talented Imagineers who are responsible for the sounds and music of the Walt Disney theme park properties. In our exclusive video profile we explore the history and role of the audio team as they share their stories and creative challenges. We also take a visit through the original John James “Jimmy” MacDonald sound effects collection, which explores some of the classic Disney sound effects.

Disney Characters Broken Down Into Their Basic Components

Also of interest: the glass sculptor at Arribas Bros. I literally stood there and watched him put feet on Donald Duck and then break Donald’s tail until my eyes hurt. Fire + glass, so very awesome.

I just gave my cousin a t-shirt for Christmas with all of the old EPCOT attraction logos on it. I wish I’d taken a picture.

Met some College Program kids statused at Magic Kingdom today. They picked up shifts between MK shifts. They were telling me how a 40 hour week is awful. Because it’s too few hours. I stared for a bit before telling them this is my first 40 hour week since July and I’m happy to get 30 a week. They apparently average 56 hours a week. Lunatics.
